I'm finally almost done! (This book has been taking me FOREVER (mainly bc I keep getting distracted with other things 😅))
I've got like five books on rotation but my main ones are Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See and The River King by Alice Hoffman.
@st0ne-age I haven’t heard of the river king by Hoffman, what’s it about? It sounds interesting.
@rohbinnie I haven't gotten very far yet but it's about 4 people who live in a small town in Massachusetts. The town is "divided" into two areas and it has some eerie history regarding the school that the story centers around. Each character has their own perspective and eventually they all come together as the town is forced to end it's division. I really like the imagery so far and it feels like I am watching a 2000's mystery thriller.

currently reading the fault in our stars, and just finished every day by david levithan. though i also have a few other books on rotation as well, mostly poetry since i'm trying to get into that.
Aww I read both of these my first year of uni. Loved them both!
Currently doing a slow re-reading Frankenstein to study it again.
And started Pizza Girl by Jean Kyoung Frazier.
Currently reading Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati since the recent Odyssey movie reignited my interest of Greek mythology. As well as Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman.
Im mid way through the Percy Jackson series and im also reading the Illiad both are absolutely great and have made me cry A LOT
I just did a read of the entire Percy Jackson series! I read it as a kid as they were releasing and never got to finish it. It was a nice nostalgia read!
White Oleander By Janet Fitch! This just reminded me to read my 100 pages today lol
Getting back to nonfiction and reading "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" (Holy cow what a book. I tore through 100 pages in a single sitting! Such an important to read.)
and "De Profundis" by Oscar Wilde. A longggg letter he wrote from prison to his male lover; the reason he was put in prison, for "indecency".

It's so beautifully written and full of emotion my goodness. I have a feeling I will reread it again and again.
I like cycling between two to three books at the same time, helps me maintain interest. I'm currently reading The Elusive Body
I always read too many books at a time too! Oh my goodness I read Giovanni's Room in uni and I still think about it to this day. I felt a hole in my heart when I finished it. His book If Beale Street Could Talk was also very thought provoking!
I'm currently reading Cruel Prince by Holly Black and so far it's so good. I'm going quite slow though, because 1. I'm a slow reader and 2. I have so much school work to do, but I 100% recommend. The FMC is strong and independent which I like in books.
