Back to Movies & TV

Uhh self explanatory ig, anyone here likes it :D ?

i was like 14 when this came out and i wanted to kiss jonesy because he was insane

@mallrat

SAME! I wanted to find an IRL boy like Jonsey so bad lmao.

I won't lie, when I can't sleep at night I will sometimes still put this show on for comfort.☺

@kaylvang 𓍢ִ໋❀ you probably already know this but there's an episode where they get jobs at "tajmah home" video rentals and they just can't seem to get fired for some reason, so the boys dress up as belly dancers and dance in the store windows which repulses the customers... i was old enough where i was like "that wouldn't drive people away. it'd draw in a clientele of high school girls."

i still stand by young me's conclusion XDDD

@mallrat

I LOVED that episode omg, you have such a good memory. I also stand by young you's conclusion! This show was honestly so good.

@mallrat valid lolz

Girl yes i was in elementary school when i watched this and it made me want to be 16 soooooooo bad omg

but by the time i was 16 malls were already losing their relevance in culture :(

@bryyyc lucky you !! I'm too young to have watched it on TV, I randomly found the show on Youtube and I fell in love with it ♡ Mall culture is kinda still alive in my country ? Nowhere near as prevalent as in the 2000's obv but still a common hangout place :)

@bryyyc waiting with bated breath for malls to make a resurgence since a lot of today's teenagers are looking to go low tech

@mallrat Idk about others around me but I sure do ! I mean I'd like to keep using social media bc I find it's a good way to interact with folks I wouldn't meet irl but I do wish we (as a generation) did more fun stuff offline ^^ I think we don't do good with low stimuli situations (I included)

@Manaranciel don't worry kid, if my peers are anything to go by, adults aren't good at low stimuli activities either.

although i'd argue that the mall isn't exactly low stimuli. it's loud on the weekends and there's stores/signs vying for your attention everywhere, and when you pass the food court and smell all that greasy stuff? mmmmmmmmmmmm. there's also nothing quite as tempting as walking past the pretzel stand.

@mallrat good to know it's not just us !

Oh my apologies when I brought up low stimuli activities I was refering to things like going on a walk, reading and things like that not the mall - that does get a lot at times

@mallrat and yeah pretzels do rock
