Your way to remove super glue from your fingers?

Back to General Discussion

Basically, I was trying to glue the soles of my sneakers back together, and when I opened a new tube, glue squirted onto my fingers, almost gluing them together.

This isn't the first time, but I still can't find a way to remove glue from my fingers.

How do you do this and what exactly helps you?

hot water and rubbing normally does the job, but if i need to get unglued quickly sometimes i use acetone

try and pick it off, which doesn't end up working and my fingers feel like sandpaper until they regenerate 😭

If you have acetone available that always works!

So. I do this a lot working with miniatures… as long as you’re gentle i’ve found using fine grit sandpaper to work well in a pinch😭  I agree with the others that acetone can work as well, but to be careful if its strong (100%) as it can damage the skin as well

i usually just take my nail file to it, and it comes off but obviously apply lotion to the area since it'll become very dry after filing it lol
