Suggest a fun thing to research

Back to General Discussion

So I saw this guy on instagram who would take a random concept and research it using real papers and stuff from google scholar for 15 mins, then write a short report on it.

I wanna do something like that, I already have a bit of a list, but suggest some things, if I do it i'll reply to ur comment with my report

of course I donnt know everything, so i might be wrong sometimes

anything is fine to suggest!

if anyone else wants to reply to a suggestion, feel free to share )

I'm learning about like older games and emulators right now and it's been a lotta fun. something like that where you kinda get a hobby out of it could be cool

@cavecloud I love emulators + piracy, ive bee getting more into it. Maybe i should get more into stuff like that

research the history of the internet!

Also I see your pfp and profile, research the history/orgin of Miffy! I'm so in love with Miffy everything omg. I saw a Miffy exhibtion last year with orignal drawings from the artist and vintage toys and it was so fun! Miffy is dutch and her original name is Nijntje!

It's tamaNOTchi! Click to feed!< click me!<

@xXMissParamourXx hehe ok! i absolutely love miffy, i grew up watchig and reading her, i knew she was dutch but not her orginal name, so cool

I do this often :) my fav topics recently:

  • Jean Baudrillard's 1981 concept of hyperreality
  • Cheryl Harris' 1993 law theory of "Whiteness as Property"
  • Famous academic beefs: for example, Chomsky vs Skinner; Mead vs. Freeman; Searle vs. Derrida
