if it finally comes back will you guys have it simultaneously as this site or will just use myspace? lol
if it finally comes back will you guys have it simultaneously as this site or will just use myspace? lol
i think i'll probs move to myspace depending on their UI and if it actually comes back this time
I guess I'd just use all three, spacehey, friendrewind, and myspace, I'm too loyal to these sites lol
IF it's actually good then I might move there, but I really don't have any expectations or high hopes. I don't know anything about the revival besides that it's happening but I'm dead scared that it'll turn out to be too modernized or changed in some other bad way

i'll probably mostly stick here but still make an account there

I'll most likely use both sites but I'll have to see how this plays out
I'll still use FriendRewind but I would make an account there just to check it out.
I have a very good feeling that the community that would be there is not gonna be as chill as what we have here where people are more matured and mostly talking about wholesome stuff here and there.
I feel would be quite a good amount of pretty toxic political discussion there and other negative stuff kinda like what's in Blue sky and Major Social Network Websites like "Facebook" and "X" (Formerly "Twitter.") so I'm not too keen about it for some reason.
ehhh, stay here i think, i may browse, but there's nothing there that i don't already get here lol (and i'm settling in/starting to know the community here and enjoy it quite a bit here, etc~)
the timing of the comeback is also Odd to me
"the timing of the comeback is also Odd to me...."
@majesstiqe I've said this many many times before now but I have a good feeling that they definitely saw the traction websites like this and Video Sharing Website like "KamTape" has been getting and saw there's great interest on Mid 2000's - Late 2000's Internet Aesthetic and Vibes and I assume they're trying to capitalize on that.
But yeah me too, I'm also settling here like you.
@Cysper04 100%, feels like they moved on then someone else was like "fine, i'll redo it Better" and now they're coming back to copy their homework lmao
I'm gonna use both definetly BUT I probably wouldn't be as active on the actual MySpace because I just know it's gonna be packed to the brim with millennials who believe I shouldn't be on "their" website because I wasn't alive when Nirvana dropped their first song or something dumb like that.
@nosaviorofyours I'm not aware of things like that happening and I haven't encountered one. LOL XD
And also Nirvana was in the 1990's and quite before 2000's.
Edit: Sorry for duplicated replies. LOL XD
I don't know why was that happening where I post a comment or reply it ends up duplicating.
Maybe it's my browser or something.
@Cysper04 you're fine lol don't worry about the duplicated replies
What I really should've said was "I wasn't born when Nirvana dropped their first song" but that was my third time trying to write out my reply cause it wouldn't send the other two times so I kinda just gave up on my timeline being correct
Ill probably stay around here, the way they are going about it is pretty cynical... why now?
I don't believe for a second that they'll do it the right way if they even end up doing it at all. The article I read about it made it seem like it's just a maybe. I'm staying here lol.
I will def use both. to be honest just from brand power, real myspace (well, 2.0) will have far more and far more varied people on it,
and it will likely have quite a few more people i particularly vibe with show up because well, these alts, due to the types of kids that flood them, and not saying this to hate on them some are my buddies, but it becomes overwhelmed with a "type"
that intimidates others from bothering to try here.
Myspace will flood in the normies to a point where like it was the first time, niche communities will be in their niche corners, but it will be so populous that they will have no issue finding each other.
But i also very much love the idea of being part of a more obscure ofshoot myself, so i will DEFINITELY keep this.
Spacehey, im keeping my profile there but i kind of expect it to be gone within a year.

i would probably stay right here. Wouldn't want to be bullied by a grown ass person claiming we're on their space. They really just need to suck it up loll
If the original myspace comes back, I will be doing absolutely nothing because I honestly could not care less about the original myspace 🤷🏻 Community is what makes a site good and I never once had a good sense of safe or healthy community on that site when I was younger.
I'm glad to bury it and I think it's very silly (and a little sad) that the original devs are reconsidering it only after wonderful indie sites like this gained notorioty.

@𝘼𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧
That is a decent point there, the timing def sus. I wouldnt fault them for wanting to be profitable,
but the fact that they waited aaaalllll the way till now to see all these lil alts pop up to then only be prompted to do it when theres some evidence it might pay out, rather than risk it for the joy of making something like that work and hoping its profitable because it would be cool to be a cool company that has a cool thing etc,
so sus, sends that they didnt even have it in mind AT ALL till they saw us.
Which means theres a big chance they are only interested in getting it big enough to sell off or corporatize and molest it into constrained slop.
I still have hopes for it and am stoked, ill totally go make a profile again, but that element you mention is definitely there and a fair point.
It being NOW makes you wonder what the core intentions are.
