Also i dont know about millenials trying to kick yall off, they do that anywhere else? Im not sure if thats a founded fear but if they tried i can assure you a bunch of us (am one) would tell them to eat shit and die.

I'll probably just use this one, it's likely gonna be centered around algorithms, like everything web 3.0. 

Honestly, I dont have any hope on myspace, since we all know whi it's forgotten and kinda closed but never closed. So I dont really think it'll be there that much. Might make an account there to check it, but i'll stick here on friendrewind. Spacehey was really nice, but Al is kinda gone, hasn't fixed the issue with pfp's, and Goat and all those bots are there...

If anything, i'll just stick with on here. I don't think myspace would be the same as before! I wouldn't mind checking it out, maybe make account on there for the hell of it, but If this gets out of hand with algorithms and turns into X, i am out of there!

Depends on how it comes back. If it’s like the 2000s version w no algorithms, AI, or any of the new bs then perhaps. Especially for blogging & finding people in my area who have similar interests.

But I do worry that because it’s such mainstream thing already, those who are already famous on big platforms are gonna try and find ways to get even more popularity through force (kinda like how even on these sites we got the self proclaimed microcelebs). Promo accounts and bots were an issue back then, but they could be an even bigger issue given that tech has evolved, but I’m assuming that maybe they’ll have antispam stuff better implemented.

Also the discourse around who is “allowed” to use it when it releases is idiotic and im worried that if I join, it’s just gonna be a constant flow of negativity like the mainstream socials. Oh well. At least there’s blocking

(I’ll still use frw though cuz again, like a ton of ppl said, the community is very chill and a breath of fresh air from a lot of modern web places)

@𝘼𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧 Exactly, I assume they definitely saw the amount of traction websites like this and Video Sharing Website like "KamTape" had been getting and they saw there's good amount of Interest in Mid 2000's - Late 2000's Internet Aesthetic and Vibes had been getting and they're trying to capitalize on that.

The fact it took them long to bring it back to what it was up until now when websites like I mentioned had been getting good amount of traction is quite something else.

And I'm wondering what is their core intentions on that decision.

I wouldn’t trust the site. It’s going to be another meta thing collecting your data and mining ai food like what Vine is brought back for. 

I'll try it out, but I like the coziness of a smaller site with actual access to the actual owner who is very responsive and mind.

Ultimately, I'll leave a site if it becomes a graveyard, not because some other shiny site comes along.
