Hey Everyone!
I created The Rewind Lounge to be an active, welcoming place where people can hang out and participate in events. We usually are active Sundays because that's when we have movie night, but feel free to speak with the other members and organize events throughout the week.
I want to mention that this group is open to all ages, so please keep that in mind when engaging.
Group Rules
- Respect everyone's identity and pronouns
- No glorifying gore or killers
- Don't share inappropriate content (NSFW or graphic gore images)
If you see someone breaking these rules, please take a screenshot and report it to a Mod or me. You can also report the message directly if it violates FriendRewind's Terms of Service. Depending on the offense there will be a warning given, however there will not be a second warning.
Please don't be scare to speak up, if you're uncomfortable most likely there are others who are also uncomfortable with the behavior.
Chatroom Tips
- Just because you don't see anyone active doesn't mean they aren't online on the site
- Try to say more than just hi. Retro sites usually are more slower, if everyone only says hi, the chat just turns into a chain of greetings. Ask questions, tell a story, get comfortable and act as if you've known everyone since forever
- We usually host movie and game nights on sundays, which is why the group is most active that day. However I repeat, please feel free to chat with the other members of the group and organize events on any day of the week
- Let me know if you have any suggestions
Future Plans
I'm currently working on coding a The Rewind Lounge Landing page, it will include announcements, updates, the rules for the group. It would also implement RSS, so any announcements wouldn't get lost in the chat or forum. It will be in your RSS reader. I've already made a blog about RSS for webmasters, but I am planning on refining it and making another one for readers.
I think it would be great for RSS Feed to make a huge comeback especially in the IndieWeb space. I wanna write more about my vision and wishes for RSS Feeds but I'll leave that for my blog in the future ❤️
