Yesterday there was yet another “FriendRewind uses AI” post. Quite frankly, I am sick of hearing about it lmao. Def3ct has said multiple times that there is no AI here.

I discovered both sites at the same time, I never got the invite to the other one, so all of that nonsense has thankfully went completely over my head. Still, seems like something to be wary of as the site grows.
@Cordell I found out about Space Hey first and even begged for a link. Come to find out its dead over there and I found people talking about friend rewind. Does FR have an app? i KNow SPace Hey did

It looks like it's not really being taken care of and on the outside, the community seemed pretty hostile about FriendRewind instead of being chill and wholesome and talking about nice stuff.
@Cysper04 it's beyond ridiculous. spacehey, or myspace or even napo didn't even have the freakin' badge system. it was kind of cool I thought, it reflected how active you were in the best interests of the site. how the icons were interpreted as proofs, I'll never know. *confused* 
@Cysper04 or just not even have badges or icons at all, and just list the ranks somewhere, like below mood or something. "community connector - gold tier.. forum engager - silver tier" or something like that. if they didn't like them, the option was there to not even display them.

I just want to go back to the old internet, this place is a breath of fresh air. No doom scrolling thank god. I'm even thinking of getting a android phone thats in the style of a blackberry with the keyboard. IM CRAVING THE GOOD OLE DAYS. Tired of AI, tired of algos. i just want to have fun and not see all the stuff insta, FB, tiktok pushes. But im so ready to live on here till myspace comes back
@Callieforniiaa_ I want one of those keyboard phones but I don't want the Android system. I want it to be a dumbphone! I don't want access to anything, I have no self-control lol
@Very Scary Fairy✨ Girl this is giving me so much Nostalgia 😆 ah! But yes i totally get what your'e saying. I do like some smart phone features but I think the keyboard would help me not doom scroll as much but the phone is called the { Unihertz Titan 2 Elite} if you wanted to check it out. 😁

@tellmesecrets I really want to get it but switching from Iphone to Android is so Daunting... I hate the feeling that im stuck to and iphone now.
Personally I don't think AI has a place in moderation of groups and think it has been the downfall of MANY groups. It has erroneously shutdown and eliminated 1000's upon 1000's of profiles across many platforms with no way of recovering or contesting the loss of profiles.
But, on the other hand, I think AI in other ways is actually pretty cool when used in the right way. I recently have gotten into restoring very old family photos and seeing them being brought back to life and being colorized is cool as hell. I also since coming here really love making music genre banners for my profile which I've made all but 1 that I have on my profile.
But overall, I'm still on the fence and not a huge fan of AI especially in the ways I have been seeing it being used for, especially on AI generated bullshit articles that when fact checked turn out to be 💯 % false and can be very harmful with their content. So I would would at this point I'm about 20% for and 80% against AI.
@♠︎John K Callender♠︎ All of the things you mentioned can be, and have been, done with human hands; and AI is replacing many human jobs. Our world will crumble because of AI. I'm happy to be on a website in which it is not utilized.
I like the fact that this site isn't being Moderated by AI hope that it never is, but for people to get on here saying the pictures and stuff like that are AI, I say to that, so what. If the man wants to utilize AI in that manner then that's his business, not anyone else's. I use AI for creating art and photo restoration, ain't no different really than using using photoshop except for those of us who don't know photoshop, then AI is a better option and gives the same and sometimes better results. So if someone wants to use it to help build their website and do the art then that's their business, not anyone else's. That's such a trivial matter to be on here crybabying about.@Very Scary Fairy✨

Last I heard about friendrewind using AI was when someone claimed they seen in the files that pictures there were AI, I didn’t really believe them because how would they know what’s really in the files, I doubt the creator of the site would let just anyone see them. I personally don’t really care either way, I just wanna have fun and make friends tbh.
As long as the site itself isn't being Moderated by AI I personally could care less if the photos and stuff were made by AI. That is such a trivial and unimportant matter lol. @Hopeyy Haywire
