Whether AI was used during development or not, I honestly don't know nor care. Looking to the future, rather than treating AI as something that should never be used, I think the bigger picture involves a conversation about how it's used.
The last thing any of us want is FriendRewind to rapidly grow in popularity and turn into SpaceHey 2.0, where quick-fixes like disabling key functionality to combat spam are put in place without a realistic long-term solution.
If AI can prevent that moment in history from repeating itself, it may be worth considering. Of course, this wouldn't be a complete substitute for bringing a dedicated moderation staff on board when the time comes, but simply another tool to use, which is how AI should be used healthily, as a tool.
