Thoughts about the return of MySpace

Recently, the current owners of the MySpace website expressed interest in bringing the site back as a social platform, like how it used to be. I've asked this already in my bulletins but I'd like to know how the general oldweb community feels about this. So are you gonna check out MySpace once it comes back? And do you think sites like SpaceHey, Napoleonite and FriendRewind will still be allowed to function once MySpace becomes a social platform again?

I think it's a really big positive in the days of modern internet, we'll (hopefully) have a platform that isn't run by likes, trends or algorithms and I'd love to see it. Bring back originality and personal pages lol

i have an unshakable feeling its going to go horribly i think it started when the first thing i saw on the site when i opened it was kanye west

i hope they update it and make it into an app to for mobile user and also update the app in general and keep some stuff the same and some different because i want to experience that 2000s myspace era even tho i wasn"t there when it was popping off so now that's it coming back i cant wait to experience it 

tbh i have very low hopes for it.. a lot of reboots always kinda suck and i generally think myspace should keep its legacy as it was instead of bringing it back and potentially making it worse 😭 i generally think that kids nowadays aren’t a good demographic for myspace and most adults who used it are probably too adult-y to be using it all the time.. thus the platform either flopping or become a cesspool of toxic people and slop 

I'd like to think the whole thing will go well but that's likely not gonna be the case
