@Cranky Old Witch i don't know why this comes to mind but Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg. it's about being queer in the 40s-70s in industrial new york. its like a cult classic/foundational text for modern day understandings of complex transgender and lesbian identity. when i listened to this song i just imagined the main character and their partner dancing to it
