Lately I've been reobsessed with Vivian Maier the OG street photography (before street photography was even a thing)

@Kayla⟡ oh god, quite a few actually. daido moriyama was a big one for me, and then there were a bunch of others like nan goldin, larry clark, corinne day, wolfgang tillmans, tara wray. i honestly don't remember half of the names anymore. i only know some of those because i used to write the names down in my diary so i wouldn't forget them. most of the time i didn't even know what i was looking for. i'd just go into the photography section of the library and spend hours pulling books off the shelves, sitting on the floor and flipping through them until something caught my eye. i was pretty much entirely self taught that way. i'd find a photograph i liked, write down the photographer's name, then go looking for everything else they'd done. repeat until the librarian inevitably wanted me to leave haha. your words are very kind though, genuinely. i don't get much feedback on my photography outside of here, so it means a lot when someone actually takes the time to say something nice about it.
