I've been thinking about old abandoned metal forums of the early 2000's a lot lately... I thought I'd make a proper thread in the same vein as those old forums - please treat this as such.

I want this thread to be about anything black metal related you have on your mind that you'd like to share or rant about. 
Saw a cool band live? Found a hidden gem? Got some new stuff in your physical collection? Know weird trivia or lore about an obscure band? Want to worship the classics? Talk about it here!

 If you don't know what to talk about - tell me about an album or release that's been stuck in your head lately and why.

Dark ambient and dungeon synth is also welcome here. Absolutely NO "keller" or "tanzel".

Some recommendations I can give from my own country are Necrobode, Degredo, Irae, Morte Incandescente, Voemmr, Mons Veneris, Vetala, Trono Além Morte, Ventr, Insomnia Pálida, Omitir, etc

If you want to start off with classics/more well known bands I really enjoy early Emperor, Immortal, Beherit, Blasphemy, early Enslaved, Mütiilation, Xasthur, etc

@Micael I saw Goatpenis before their old singer passed away in LA last time that they came! Vothana used to work at a subway in Minnesota lol we’d troll him way back in the day! Small world lol 

definitely not a deep cut at all, but i loveee bathory :-) nordland i & blood on ice are two of my favourite albums.

i listen to more ambient/dungeon synth tbh, im not the biggest metalhead. forgotten pathways, pazuzu, arath, and stormkeep are some of my favourites.

@victoriaexquisitewallflower hii <3 di mysteriis is a great album!! i think you'd like  december moon by morbid , the vocalist here was also mayhem's vocalist for a little bit. emperor's self titled ep is also good!!

I've been really enjoying Silencer recently, I feel like despite being well known it gets a bad rep due to the vocal style, especially in Death - Pierce Me.

Other BM bands I like include None, Trist, Leviathan, Emit and Suizid

If anyone listens to harsh noise, the band Enbilulugugal has some really good BlackNoise (black metal X harsh noise)
