i think video games r such a unique medium and i love hearing about peoples favs....
my personal fav is probably disco Elysium for the writing style + soundtrack :3 it plays kinda like a book tbh, its a lot of walking around and reading/listening to the voice acting BUT if thats ur thing you'll love it.
i recommend it to everyone!!!

I really love story based games like Deltarune, Omori, and Mouthwashing- they're also all psychological horrors and that's my favorite genre of gameplay
Skyrim. My dad got it for me the first time I got honor roll in the 5th grade. It’s the only game I’ve ever played with serious consistency over years and years. It’s been with me longer than most people in my life. I think it changed my life.

Mass Effect Trilogy, Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines, Silent Hill 4 The Room, Final Fantasy IX, Dino Crisis 1 & 2
This is gonna sound so boring but truly The Last of Us. Absolute masterpiece of a story that can be translated to movie/tv, but you lose some things when it isn't playable. I love that game with all my heart.
The Last of Us was pretty amazing. The graphics, the music, the storyline, the characters, EVERYTHING! I really took a shining to the Mass Effect series and also Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. All these mean so much to me
A pretty new and niche one, but The Midnight Walk
It's not often you get a dark fantasy game with such a unique creative direction and well-written plot, and it tears me up every single time I do story analysis on it cuz it's so meaningful to real life
Highly recommend it for anyone who likes all the points I mentioned in games 🙂↕️
mother 3 left such an impact on me esp since I was playin durin a time in my life where I felt lost in direction when it 2 the future
touhou project!!!! :D the characters are really interesting and the gameplay is really fun. once you join the touhou community, there's no stepping out of it lolz

i could talk about this game for hours, theres truly nothing like it. even if ur not into old timey western cowboy stuff, its so easy to fall in love with! it has a good balance of story-telling + action but also cozy aspects (?) sometimes i'll hop on it just to listen to the background music and ride my horse, collect plants & animals, and play card games hehe x)
Anyways that game started my obsession with cowboys & i love arthur morgan xP
