nice to meet you!! i love metaphysical stuff too, are you into anything beyond crystals?

Yes, a part from crystals, I do Tarot, and learning about the different chakras and how to open them. I can do chiromancy (palm reading) I researched about how there's technically 13 months in the year and that since there's 12 in modern day, any rituals or reading off of the constellations would be inaccurate because we were intentionally made to be confused. So now that I know my "actual" birth chart, I can work better on myself. How about you?? And, also it's nice to meet you too.

oh how cool!! i would love to learn tarot, i have a deck that i mostly just pull out to look at the pretty pictures lol. i love astrology but there's so much to it. my latest thing is learning about chaos magic, i have been making my way through reading condensed chaos by phil hine and it's really interesting. i love designing sigils and rituals.

Chaos Magic sounds so cool and that's adorable that you look at the Tarot pictures. The decks usually come with a booklet to follow along but I can share how I do the readings so you can try it. The first thing you do is shuffle and think about what you're asking or want to know. I generally do the 3 card reveal which when holding the deck in one hand you want to drop the cards into three piles next to each other. Flip them over to see what they say. The first pile is "past influences" so it relates to what you went through or some period in your past. The middle card is your present and will reveal what you are going through presently. The last card is your future card and what to expect in the coming days and what you have to look forward to. You could always further research the individual cards if what you read doesn't quite make sense or you need an elaboration on the card. I hope this helps and there really is no wrong way to do it bc everyone has their own style. Have fun with it :)

Nice hero choices :)

Thank you. Xena taught me that as a woman we have it inside us to protect ourselves and others if we have the courage, faith, and belief in ourselves. She is the reason I'm a lesbian today. She is my lesbian icon.ย

If I were straight, Batman would be it. He's so dark, mysterious, fiercely protective and badass AF. Bats are my favorite animal and the darkness feels like home and I have such a fascination for Batman and love all the different movies.

Who are some people that have impacted you today?

Xena is an icon for sure. And bats are awesome.

I'm honestly not sure if I could point out someone like that who has impacted me. I'd be more likely to give real-world examples from growing up - friends, family, teachers, etc. Not necessarily heroes, but people who helped shape who I became.ย

I was open to hearing a story of a real-life person in all honesty. I'm different in that I didn't have any real-life saviors when living through hell which is why I tend to live in fantasy worlds so much. Only just recently have I cracked myself open to reality a little bit more. It's great that you had people in your day-to-day that impacted you positively.

That's fair. I just didn't really notice until now that I don't have anyone I particularly see as a hero. It's just a bunch of little things, you know? Parents who have a good relationship and who always opened our home to my few friends growing up. Teachers who encouraged learning and not just memorizing. Friends who influenced the music I still listen to today even if we haven't spoken in forever. Things like that :)

by Lori; ; Report

Aww, that's really cute. I smiled when I read about your parents opening their home to your friend's too, that's really kind. It's giving "7th Heaven" LOL I love that. That's beautiful and I love when friends introduce me to music. That's how I came to know and love Hazlett and Noah Kahan. What are some music choices you were referring to?

by Asphodel_Lotus; ; Report

Let's see, one friend from high school in particular was influential. She introduced me to bands like IAMX and Electric Six, whom I still love. An ex-boyfriend introduced me to Ludo. A cool English Comp professor I had in university introduced me to Pomplamoose and the author Christopher Moore, who is still a favorite.ย

I've never heard of any of those. I love that. Glad that you have those memories attached with the music. Thanks for sharing!
