So which Salix are you? Petiolaris? Bebbiana? Discolor? Exigua? Humilis!! i'm SO glad you asked. I spent time in an oak savannah reserve in MN to do field research on its growing conditions Very cool, and good salix identity! Did that oak Savannah do controlled burns at all?
