I make a lot of Boulevardiers and Negronis. But this summer I've been enjoying a simple tiki beverage called a Coppertone.
As for, "I'm trying to get liquor in me and get my buzz on"-type scenarios, I just drink gin or whiskey on the rocks.

@SLIM GRIMS I definitely recommend snagging some vermouth and amaro (I usually get Aperol because it's cheapest) for the home bar. It lets you make a $8-12 cocktail at home for roughly half that price. That really impresses guests. Few things beat getting handed a fancy bar cocktail when you've been invited over for movie night.
Some of my all time favorites are:
- Malibu rum + pineapple juice
- Whiskey Sours (limeade or lime juice + whiskey I think...lol)
- Apple Jack's (apple juice and jack daniels)
- Pornstar (Blue Curaçao + Sourpuss Raspberry + Sprite/7up)

@Vodkuh all of these are wonderful. totally forgot to add any grapefruit soda as a mixer, and that's fantastic with any liquor. and of course, if feelin splurgy, hand some of them sour schnapps

Whewwww!!!! Can't do vodka, came close to killing myself at a party when I was a teenager back in the day, ended up with a 3 day hangover. I can't even stand to smell vodka to this day.
When I do drink, which is very rare anymore, it is usually an Old fashioned Whiskey Sour or Beam Black Extra Aged/Coke or Capt Morgan Private Stock/Coke.
Well, I rarely drink but when I do it's either margaritas or gin tonics.
