Story chain time! A story chain is where each person adds a word to create a story together.
Rules
Each person adds one word to the story.
Keep it PG-13.
No references to people on here.
No declarations before your move. You cannot declare a move you will make before making it.
You are not required to finish the sentence.
You must maintain grammatical continuity, such that the words fit into the sentence to provide a meaning.
Keep the story coherent.
Do not repeat words if doing so will derail or stall the momentum.
Articles like a, an, the, etc. and up to three-letter prepositions, such as as, at, by, for, in, on, etc. do not count as words. But they can only be placed before, not after, your main word. And they must accompany a main word. Example: "on the cat" is acceptable, but "the cat in" is not.
Contractions and compound words connected directly or by a hyphen count as a single word. Example: can't, football, up-to-date.
Proper names that require two words, like New York or John Hancock count as a single word.
Numbers are one word, regardless of number of digits.
Punctuation does not count as a word, but it must be placed before your word, not after. If someone doesn't punctuate correctly, just keep going. Example: ". The dog" is acceptable, but "the dog." is not.
