idk if this counts but i was researching and there was a line in one of the books that said "when the devil left the house, he would release a foul odor." it went on to explain how he would fart terribly when he would leave people's houses. i was studying fifteenth century witchcraft :p

@seaoforcas reminds me of when i was doing a reading for homework and the text (written in the 17th century) referred to a flood as "an abundance of wet".
