Two reasons. One, there is a second puberty that occurs at roughly age 27. The first is a physical maturation which starts at roughly age 13, but at age 27, the brain goes through chemical changes that shifts a person's goals and interests. Two is the myth about famous musicians dying at age 27. The likes of Robert Johnson, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse just to name a few.

Isnt 27 like a cultural like folktale thing too? like if you are an artist, you only legit up till 27 and they your either kill yourself or you watch yourself become a shill representation of what you were when you are young and edgy.
