On the upside: Funny, and surprisingly historically accurate, though that's not the intent.
On the downside: Cancelled after two seasons. Too gay, so it got cancelled.
Partner made me watch this and i loved it. It's so funny

movies: portrait of a lady on fire (wlw - i believe this is all in french from what i remember, but it's. sO good.), the kids are all right (wlw), my policeman (mlm), kill your darlings (mlm), fear street trilogy (wlw)
shows: the haunting of bly manor (wlw)&hill house (wlw as well, but it's not a main theme, just a character who is gay and has an angsty relationship while experiencing The Horrors), interview with a vampire/the vampire lestat (mlm), arcane (just, very gay lol), sex education (everything everywhere all at once), the sandman (a lot of queer elements)
also i will add that i see everything i watch as gay

I know you didn't ask for documentaries but The Queen (1968) and Paris Is Burning (1990) are ones I highly highly recommend, especially if you're interested in drag and ballroom

nobody has mentioned the movie Saving Face so... I recommend Saving Face! It is wlw and one of my favourite movies ever. Also Jennifer's Body is wlw to me so if you want something more leaning to the horror genre in a movie, that is one to go for!
Hmmm, Heartbreak High was a pretty good show with good representation if I remember correctly! I didn't like the last season much though. That has a bit of everything

I second CMBYN, but it does have a sad ending and has a huge age gap. BBC Sherlock, but its not explicit representation and it only happens at the very end. IT (OBVIIIIII, but it isnt explicit until the second movie). The Goldfinch is bi representation if you read the book and know wtf is going on, unlike Finn Wolfhard. Maurice is REALLY good, based off a classic book. Latter Days is good, but it has sex in it. So does Maurice and CMBYN, though. Also seconding But Im A Cheerleader, classic and has sex in it.

^ listen to this girl, this movie is great.
the last gay film i saw was conversation piece (1974), which i especially loved the set and actors in, although i enjoyed the script and story too. i was supposed to see monster (2023) in theaters, which was scored by ryuichi sakamoto right before he died, but i ended up double scheduled with work that day and had to miss it. saddest moment of my july right there.
