Dating sites are great places to find people with stunted socialization skills who never talked in person to a member of the opposite sex and think hardcore porn accurately depicts healthy sex lifestyles.

Therefore, I would not touch that or any such site with a 10 foot pole. There are enough scammers, catfish, unsolicited dick pics, horny dogs, and people generally being annoying and stupid, sometimes begging, expecting and demanding sexting, pics and camming even on sites that are not primarily meant for dating.

I am not and have not been a part of the dating pool for a long time (thankfully), but I think that your idea is really great. All of the things that you mention in your post are great concepts and I like that you highlight safety on the website. However, I get what others are saying about the overall 'look' of the website itself as well as the use of AI. When I'm looking at your website I don't see a theme or retro aesthetic. I was curious as to if there was a certain age group you were marketing this dating site to and what kind of look you were hoping to lean into for the site? I know that you mentioned that it was under construction still. You also mention a retro art studio and a nostalgia market, but what exactly would that look like? I think collaborating with other people could definitely be really helpful, even if it's not about them wanting to run this dating site with you. It might help give you some perspective on where to start. This type of thing is a very time consuming project, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible. Maybe think, smaller scale first and then see how things go from there.
