Do you set up your profile playlist with any particular motives?

Back to General Discussion

Title.

Tell me, if you're particular about the playlist you've curated for your profile, what's driving you to have it be what it is? Is it a showcase for your present obsessions, a compilation of your favorite songs of all time? Could it be you're just using that widget for memes and in-jokes? Or perhaps more commonly, you want to set a mood that fits your profile aesthetics and/or aims to make visitors feel a certain way.

I keep my playlist short as a 50/50 balance of short comedy sketches and some of my more abrasive favorite songs that either sound alike or have a similar BPM.

Come on, what's your process, site user

Remember,

i don't have a playlist, just a youtube iframe embed which i change up whenever i feel like it :3

but yeah i try to keep it in the same vein as the overall aesthetic :hearts:

I just put on a few tunes that say 'hey, this me, and I think you'll like this tune!'. There're only few tunes on there, because I figure no one's parking themselves on my page to listen to more than a song or two at most.

@Cranky Old Witch

I totally get you on this, I don't think that many people stick around for long on profile pages so I try to keep the overall experience short yet hopefully memorable

Remember,

Mine is a mix of my favorite songs, songs that are currently stuck in my head and also songs that fit the theme of my profile. The themed songs are the ones closer to the top so they play first. Idk how many songs are even on there at this point. I just keep adding some as they get stuck in my head or something

I try to think on what goes with the Memphis-Milano style of Windows 98.

Maybe MySpace was all the friends we made along the way.
