Movie you love but think isn't very good?

Sorry if this is too niche a topic. Sometimes there are things we love that we acknowledge aren't all that impressive, or wouldn't be to most others. I just watched a movie called Chelsea Walls and I thought it was pretentious, poorly-directed, trite, and just so self-important. Nonetheless I loved it earnestly and I feel different having watched it. I am wondering if anybody has experienced anything else like this that they'd like to share. I'm not talking about "so bad it's good" movies but if you'd like to share those as well then you're free to. 

Almost all of my top films have really bad reviews. I wouldn't love them if I didn't think they were excellent so I think everyone else is just bugging. I loved the 2018 remake of Suspiria even though it was received poorly. The original 1977 version isn't technically fantastic by modern standards but Argento was such an influential film maker I can't say it wasn't very good. It's just the first of its kind.

There's this movie that seems kind of hastily slapped together called Cyberbully, released in 2011 by ABC Family. You can watch it for free on YouTube, but it's filled with plot holes, bad characterization, and unrealistic scenarios. I watch it sometimes even though it's trashy because why the hell not? 😭

the mortal instruments movie sucks but it’s so fun. I thought I’d give the show a try after watching it…the show is boring bad, the movie is fun bad. 

frankenstein 2025... it is a pretty good movie, and you could in some ways call it absolutely amazing, but its also a pretty bad adaptation of frankenstein itself. it gets a fair amount of the stuff that happens in the book right but they got rid of frankensteins bf, made frankensteins monster innocent, made victor into an older man rather than the 20-or-so-yearold he was (who was also in deep psychosis/mania all throughout making his monster...) etc. and it also shows the meaning of the movie way too obviously for my taste and treats the audience like they're kinda stupid. amazing movie compared to everything else nowadays but not THAAT good if you know what you're talking about. its my fav movie but ignore that

Popeye (Robin Williams) - narratively, it's a mess. But it's a fun movie!

Rock & Rule. Art is wonky and the writing is laughable.. but the music. I love the music.

i need to rewatch this to re-evaluate it but in 2009 when i watched troll (NOT TROLL 2) i thought it had the bones of a good movie. i remember the wooden acting was the worst part. the writing wasn't awful. the cool practical effects though? they're why i want to rewatch it this october.
