Honestly ive found this site to be better than spacehey and I find using this site way more fun than just doomscrolling. But when they stop being invite only I worry that everyone here will just move over there. which would suck because fr is way better in my opinion

Anyone else worried this site will die off when/if spacehey comes back?
fr IS way better. i don't think people will want to switch over to a site that is objectively worse and riddled with toxicity

ion rlly think zo, spacehey has had a TON of moderation problems, is more limited than fr and imo ppl don't interact as much as evry1 usually tells u, if there was bots even if the site was invite-only, imagine it w/o invites ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐

@leizy_boiled_noodles Apparently there were huge gore and pedo problems for a bit on there. I certainly hope it has calmed down...
@lulu.mp3 I mean yes and no??, the word that I would use here is that the problems aren't as visible as they were b4, earlier in this year it got hacked TWICE before it became a full-on invite site, in short the same stuff happened but WORSE ๐ญ๐ญ๐, also once it became a invite site bots were abusing the invites n nearly broke the site, idk if that'z still happening tho โ๏ธ

I am 100% one of the users who will never go back to that dumpster fire of a site. I actually joined this site because of the problems SpaceHey has had for some time. I was there in 2021 when it was new and fun but deleted my account in 2024 after noticing the beginning of bigger issues. Whether it stays as invite only or not will not change the underlying toxicity and lack of moderation that still exists over two years after I left. There is a huge difference between the culture on this site vs SpaceHey's, which is why I am hopeful that people will stay. I believe that many users on here are genuinely trying to recreate a corner of the internet that is like the older web. When you're on here, the site has more lifeblood flowing through it despite the smaller number of users. SpaceHey, on the other hand, feels more soulless. The only reason half the people on there have created an account in the first place is to code a cute profile to post on TikTok without actually using the site as a social networking platform.

friendrewind seems like a calmer and better designed place than spacehey ever was for the most part. i popped in and out of sh for a few years but i never had a sense of community mostly bc the forums and groups were totally broken. you didn't get notifications for topics updating (there was no way to follow threads) so you had to manually check everything all the time. as a result none of the groups were active. even in the 00s you didn't have to check manually that frequently!
Spacehey is fine but the fact this site has videos keeps me here
Spacehey isn't coming back, let's be serious lol. The owner disappears for weeks at a time and "temporary" spam protection measures put in place years ago still remain.

the ppl here seem to rlly prefer this site so im not rlly worried ^^ ive never been on spacehey tho

ย i was only on spacehey for a little bit but i remember it was much harder for me to talk and connect with ppl. frienrewind just has a much better. i dont think this site will die off because it has a very dedicated fanbase who love the site (including me).ย
Nah, I wouldn't trust SH. Even if they do come back, they may go down again at the whims of An.
Anyway, I think this site has some cool features.
I also think this site has a WAY more chill vibe!
