How do u meet other emo kids?? Or interact with the scene in general???

I'm in southern California and I'm relatively close to LA, it shouldn't be this hard but it is! Especially cuz I already struggle with talking to people and making friends. Got any tips for getting more involved with my local scene or just meeting other people my age who like the same stuff?
