Mine is ‘The Myth of Sisyphus’ by Albert Camus and my favourite manga series is Jojo’s bizarre adventure!

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, The Trial, & Kafka's diaries at the moment.
Havent heard of the first two but I absolutely enjoyed ‘The Trial’!!! I read that book like 6 times since I got it, any of Kafka’s books are truly amazing!

Of Love and Other Demons by Gabriel García Márquez.
Great book on Love, Abuse, Dogma/Rigid Dogma, Religious Fanatacism, and Social Prejudice. I am not good to describe the book because I feel like it can only be understood by reading, and I see a lot of people who read the book and still don't understand (Unfortunatley this is a lot of people who read the book in translation and not original Spanish, but if you have good literacy and deduction skills you will understand no matter the translation .)
It's also shorter so you could read in from an evening to 2 days,and it serves as an amazing introduction to Márquez's other works, even if this one is my favorite, you will understand his style of motifs and taboo through this book as an introduction . . .

If I ever do get confused by a book I will typically read some peoples interpretations and then I reread it again to see what mine are, it really helps!

I haven't read anything new in YEARS but these were my favs:
The Price Of Creation (sci-fi?) by Lance Conrad is about a boy who lives in a village of Creators. You are born with a stone that determines your talent and role in life, but he is born with the stone of a destroyer and faces persecution his entire life before being sent over the wall to live with the savage Destroyers- just to find out that what he's been told his whole life about the Destroyers isn't true. Good story about finding yourself and self love.
Survive The Night (horror) is about a girl who goes to a rave in an abandoned subway under the city and gets lost in the flooded tunnel with some friends. Some sort of monster in the water starts picking them off one by one, but they're all on an insane amount of drugs and nobody knows if there really is a monster or if something else is happening to their friends as they all desperately try to find their way out of the subway.
A Picture Of Freedom from the Dear America series (historical fiction) is the journal of a slave who learns to read and tries to escape to freedom. Honestly every book in that series is amazing! I also loved Down The Rabbit Hole and Color Me Dark.
Yellow Star (memoir) is the true story of a little girl who was one of only 12 children who survived the Lodz Ghetto during the holocaust. She details what life was life in the ghetto, the suffering and fear, the killings she saw from a child's perspective, and everyone who helped her survive and hide when 210,000 people were murdered and she made it out against all odds.
I hope someone enjoys one of these! I have so many more lol.

Yellow Star definitely catches my eye since I have watched and read plenty of holocaust books growing up.
Not a massive reader, but i do love it whenever i find the momentum.

Pimp: the story of my life - iceberg slim.
1984 - george orwell. Cliche i know, but goddamn is it a good ass fucking novel just regardless of anything. even just for its ideals on mass ignorance etc the concept of state revisionism, you dont have to think its the future, to get a fuckload out of this book. It is really an amazing piece of fiction on its own merits without it even having to be poignant.

My favorite book would probably be the Giver by Lois Lowry or Pendragon: Journal of an Adventure Through Time and Space by DJ MacHale.

My favourite book of all time so far would have to be Carrie by Stephen King, my favourite comic book series is Deadly Class, and well the only manga I’ve really read is Nana!
I will always get a bit iffy on Stephen King because his books seemed to be written with crack but I have heard pretty good things over all and have skimmed over some pages back then!
A particular selection of Ho Chi Minh's writings I checked out from the local library had a grand influence on me. Also, Kapital Vol 1., from the same library trip. I had both of those books checked out for well over a year, lol. And throw in Torkil Laueson's Long Transition for good measure.
I really need to read more. Woof.
