I’m looking for a movie that hits really hard emotionally and leaves you thinking about it for days after watching it.

I want something deeply emotional, meaningful, and thought-provoking — a movie about life, love, relationships, loss, loneliness, or just the complicated side of being human.

Not necessarily a movie that’s simply sad. I want something that makes you feel emotionally connected to the characters and leaves you sitting there in silence after the credits.

Basically, I want a movie that stays with me long after I’ve finished watching it.

A lot of really good ones were mentioned here, but for me... Five People You Meet in Heaven, which is similar to What Dreams May Come, but also very different in the way things play out. Eve and the Firehorse is also one of those not well known, but really interesting perspectives seen through the eyes of a child. It touches on what Catholicism and Buddhism mean to her after moving to the states and experiencing the death of a loved one. Those two movies actually made me cry and also filled me with wonder and joy all at the same time.

bro idk if it was just my hormones or what but better days (2013) made me BAWL. literally through the whole movie. it was such a beautiful movie and im gonna try bring myself to rewatch it again sometime soon (also maybe mysterious skin or all the bright places because i cried a little bit during those too lmaoo)

My Summer of Love, I never hear anyone talking about it but omgg I love it.

Paris is Burning, it's a documentary but it makes me cry everytime.

In my opinion the crow (1994) has a really beautiful message, but it can be seen as a more actiony movie if that’s not what you’re going for
