what's your experience with spacehey?

this topic has probably already been dissected to hell, but i'm curious!

to basically anyone who stumbled across spacehey as a guest or registered user, how was that experience? when i found it, i signed up onto the waitlist and waited over a month before i was able to snatch a random invite link from reddit. speaking of invite links, how did you get your link, or did you register before the great invite link update? plus, how was your time on spacehey in general? for me, the forums were dead as roadkill, the blogs just trash or drama, but there seems to be some legitimately good people on the site.

Tbh, most people I met there used it as if it were a dating app and they will always ask to talk on Discord. There are some really nice people tho.

i've used spacehey for like,, 2 years i believe?? tho i stopped using it after migrating to FR.

my experience was pretty casual; since the forums were COMPLETELY dead, i had most of my interactions through blogs and befriending people. when i registered, i managed to talk to lots of individuals and due to that encountered some REAL douchebags... like,, the first three months felt like i was trying to pan for gold LOL but i stayed thanks to the nice people i've met. anyways, after that things got pretty chill for me.

about the blogs, it was like 80% drama and 20% interesting things. i spent most of my times in the "Writing and Poetry" section since there were some REAL creative people there. some even managed to create interactive stories and games, it was really fun.
