Really random recommendation but the band head automatica, like their first album.
it’s kinda electronic dance rock punk weirdness it’s AWESOME genuinely if you like weird music it scratches the itch in your brain.

Some punk bands i discovered r daisy chan, china blue, t.s.o.l, circle jerks. Im still new to this genre so i dont know lots but they’re so good
Try industrial metal! You should check out KMFDM especially their album Xtort and Symbols:)
I LOVE KMFDM!! i actually have an old cd of theirs and its signed by all the original members!
Big Newton is one of my favourite underrated bands! They're a more classic rock kinda genre
If you're looking to expand your taste but want something familiar if you already are into metal is hardcore. It's different but under the same umbrella if you will..?
Some bands that I would really recommend checking out would be bands like Bane, Kids Like Us, Have Heart, Comeback Kid, and Expire. (I could go on and on tbh).

something to do, they’re a ska (sometimes ska punk) band with good morals (and one of their trumpet players was my chemistry teacher!)

the soundcloud bitpop scene has a lot of good names, idk if it'll be your cup of tea but I highly recommend checking out some of xokimono's work he's one of the better artists I know with under a thousand listeners

Really getting into Muse lately! They're most known for their song in the Twilight movie 'Supermassive Black Hole'! Another good one I found is 'Hysteria'. I also will never NOT recommend Tears For Fears, they have some good variety in songs so hopefully you find something to like there :]
