Oooh I got one! So when I was maybe 7 or 8 I was in this program focused on singing, dancing, and acting that met on Saturdays. One weekend during the dancing portion, we were doing this movement exercise where we split into teams and pretended to fight the other team with a dance, one team was ninjas and the other was cows. I VIVIDLY remember being there and being put on the ninja team. So I go home later and I ended up getting a cold the next day.
Fast forward to the next week, we're continuing the exercise and the teacher says: "Okay Sol, since you weren't here last week you're going to be on the cows team."
And so I am left feeling very confused, because I WAS there the week before, and I tell her this. I'm like, "Wait, I was here though, I was a ninja," and I demonstrated part of our routine. But she assures me I was NOT there the week before. I relent and do the stupid cow routine.
And so when my mom picks me up later, I tell her about this absolute outrage. She looks at me and goes, "But you weren't here last week. You were sick, remember?"
I think about that sometimes, it has been about 16 years since that happened and I have never been able to explain it! Because even if I had just dreamed it, there's no way it could have been THAT specific, yk?

one time when i was about maybe 6-7 (???) years old, i slept on the couch on christmas eve to wake up downstairs for christmas. around the early morning (like around 3 am or so), i woke up. then, i sat up to look out the window (which is behind the couch). once i noticed a fraction of a silhouette in the sky that looked like flying reindeer going behind a house, i felt instantly tired and just fell right on the couch to sleep. as if i "passed out". i still never can really think of a rational explanation for what even happened. i cant really say i believe in santa now, but thinking about the experience is still freaky
@Anemoia What do the visuals look like? What do you hear? I thought I was hallucinating for two years until I realized other sane and sober scientists I had over at my place were seeing the same things as me but kept their mouths shut because they didn't want to seem crazy!
@X for visuals it's usually the same woman who observes me (she is part of my system so I call her Zoey) though she takes a more dark splotchy form usually. As for hearing it's either whispering or perfectly audible calls for my name or brief cries. For a while it was also ticking like a clock but not as often anymore.
one time I was home alone and I knew but while I was in my bedroom I suddenly heard sounds of banging cupboards, I walked to the kitchen while whispering verses from my Holy Book LOL and then I saw all the kitchen cabinets open!!! Freaked me out a little but I don't really think about it much.
oh boy. okay.
when i was in my last year of college [2023] i was hanging out in my friend's house (two of them were roommates) and they had mentioned they had Something in the house and it was lingering, so naturally i decided i wanted to go over an ""seance"" (not really) it up.
basically one friend went under and listened to that radio thing and spoke out what she heard to our questions. after a few crazy accurate responses, she took her headphones off and said she kept seeing a spidery image in the upper corner of her room on top of our other buddy. one of the questions answered actually made me a little emotional, def started crying a little bit and she took her headphones off again and was like "it moved to stand next to jess and it looks different". the buddy it was hovering over was getting very agitated too? to the point we had to stop and ask if he was feeling violent to which he said he "didn't know". we then asked if he felt like he was going to hurt himself/us and he once again said "i don't know".
that night ended up with us driving him to the emergency on call docs just in case and she stayed with me for a bit.
in the time she stayed with me, we decided to make up our own method: blind fold&blast white noise so we couldn't hear any questions being asked and write down in a notebook whatever came to mind. the conversations we had with that method was actually insane and it never felt scary or dangerous when it was just the two of us.
then came the day a different guy came to hang out with us, and we were really excited to introduce him to whoever we were talking to, so i "went under" (what we called it) and it the vibe was.. very different. i started writing "no, no, no, no, no" and when my friend rested her hand on my knee, i heard (more so felt?) this inhuman growl. it was something i felt in my entire body, i remember throwing the headphones and blind fold off and shoving myself so far back. it was the kind of fear that made you nauseated. i've had adrenaline rushes before, but never anything like that, i was so scared, i couldn't even drink water, my body was IN flight mode.
when he left, we ended up going under again, it was quiet at first, but after a bit it returned to normal. still, i've never felt threatened by it, i don't know what it was, and it's been a while since i tried that (and my friend and i live a couple cities away from each other so it's difficult).
there's a few more, but that was one that was like an Ongoing thing.
I remember experiencing weird things when I was on vacations in portugal like hearing noises when no one was home, seeing something flying that didn't looked like a plane or something I know and I also remember finding doors I was sure I closed wide opened when I was home alone- I still go on vacations there but I didn't experienced anything for a few years now
the original owner/builder of the old house my family and i used to live in died in the basement (natural causes i think). when i was little (maybe around 8-11,, i cant remember my exact age) i was walking back to my room after using the bathroom and i saw a man walk into my little brothers room down the hallway
i remember exactly what he looked like: his hair was slicked back, he was wearing a white dress shirt, black slacks, but i couldnt see what shoes he was wearing (it was like a dark shadow below his knees) & he looked nothing like any of my male family members, so i know for a fact it wasnt any of them
it scared the hell out of me and i told my mom and she was like "yeah when H (first initial of my uncles name) was staying with us, he would see him too" (my uncle lived with us for a bit & his room was downstairs, next to the room where the guy died in)
edit: not a ghost thing but just unexplained!
so in order to get work done throughout the day, I have a corkboard and make a list of tasks I have to do. Then I roll a dice to see which task I have to do, and so on. I've been doing this for six months now. i've found that whenever i have a certain task i want to do, i always end up rolling the number corresponding to that task. I just feel it in my heart, and then I roll the number that I want to roll. In the past when i heard about this kind of phenomenon happening to other people, i thought it was just a fluke, but it's been happening to me without fail and I always get a strange feeling in my heart and know it's going to happen. The same thing when I'm playing games that use dice; i can kind of summon that weird feeling, and I always win when I do so. :O
Bright or figures in general, not so much... I hear a lot of sounds though. I've moved in this house for about 3 years and I keep hearing knocking from the other side of my bedroom wall. I don't have a neighbor, no one's inhabiting the house next to mine lol. Could be rodents or something but the knocking always comes in threes.
okay so this happened somewhat recently maybe 2 weeks ago.
i work a senior citizen center specifically the memory care unit. i happened to be staying later than my regular shift because i had to complete some monthly training videos.
by the time i was done it was around 7:30PM, and i still had my bag + water bottle in the staff closet. usually by that time, most of the residents are fast asleep, or at least on their way to.
while i was getting my things, i noticed one of the residents, lets call her "Jane", was visibly nervous and pacing back and forth in her wheelchair. i walked over to her to ask what was wrong.
she said to me, very coherently, "there is a dead person in my room, please help"... over and over again.
keep in mind, these residents are all suffering from dementia, so i was skeptical at first. my first thought was that maybe a CNA who was helping her get ready for bed had fallen unconscious or fainted. i was about to open the door when i suddenly felt this weird sense of eeriness, like i should definitely should NOT open it.
i waited by Jane's side, waiting until another CNA came over so i could explain what was happening. the CNA told me that Jane had said the same thing to her earlier, so we both mustered up the courage to walk into Jane's room.
we turned on the lights and no one was there..
when we asked Jane what exactly she had seen, she told us that there was an older white faced women lying completely still on her bed, repeatedly telling us that she was dead. Jane looked very alarmed over the fact that no one was there, assuring us she was telling the truth.
the thing about Jane is that she is in the moderate stage. if it were someone like "Barb," (fake name) who has had a history of saying there are demons looking for her and other various hallucinations , i would not be as spooked.
but Jane has never said anything like this before or since..
maybe not paranormal, but I can't really explain how this happened?
the home I grew up in is very old, it was built by my grandpa who passed away in the 70's, the place generally has a kind of eerie vibe to it. I slept on the couch one night when I was a kid, maybe 10 years old, it was about 2-3am and I was still up because I have insomnia. so I was just staring at the ceiling in complete darkness and silence, then all of a sudden the TV turns on very loudly with a large skull appearing on screen..then turns off again. I think it could've been a biker show ad or something, but it freaked me out! especially the fact that it turned on out of nowhere and turned itself off again after a large skull being shown in screen.
When I was around 9-10 years old, I was watching TV with my grandma around 8pm, I saw reflection in window, lady walking into our kitchen, I though my mom came back home earlier and started to call for her, even went to kitchen and saw no one here.
After that night I suffered from sleep paralysis, a lot of times it was blind paralysis where a child grabbed my hand, someone was on my chest or had audio hallucinations. Then my dreams went to my room being haunted my ghosts, everytime with tall shadow lady I saw that night going into my kitchen. Sometimes I woke up and saw the shadow lady in my room staring at me, or staring at me through glass door (I wasnt having sleep paralysis, I was fully awake and I could see her).
The crazy thing is, my sister told me she saw her as well when she was a child too, she woke up early morning, she turned around and saw the tall shadow lady behind her, about to touch her, but when she saw her, she turned around and disappeared.
My aunt told me she saw her as well in our room when she was sleeping over, described exactly as I know her without telling her how she looked.
Its been a while now since I saw that ghost (?) or have dream about getting haunted by angry ghost/demon, sleep paralysis occurs just sometimes while falling asleep but I know how to get out of it before it starts. I cant lie, sometimes I think about the lady and kinda miss her lmao, it was scary experience but i am very interested in this paranomal stuff and her just leaving me makes me sad too, but it may also be good sign that she doesnt visit me anymore, boht in dreams or irl.
I used to draw shadows I saw in my childhood, I drew her too, no idea where the notebook is tho.... Funny thing is that when I saw Resident Evil 8 coming out and saw Lady Dimitrescu, I was laughing and joking how she looks like my tall shadow lady ghost :DDD She was visiting me long before RE8 came out too
‧₊ ᵎᵎ 🍒 ⋅ ˚✮So I've got two things lol:
The first one is that like 5 years ago where was Corona my sister and I did 2x a ouji "session" it was not really one, but after the second one a few days later I noticed a shadowy figure in the hallway also had a feeling that someone was at my floor (mind you: my stepsister was not there atm and we shared that floor, if it would've been someone else like my dad I would have seen and heard him). The shadow hushed 3x through the hallway but the eerie feeling was still there. To this day I still don't know if that was a lowkey psychosis or if it was really a paranomal phenomenon (also in that house my great-granddad died so yeah)
Second thing is at my moms apartment in the house the parents of their landlord died ages ago, but if you have a snapchat filter on in the room of my sister, the face mask recognizes something in the air. We don't know if it's a bug or if it maybe is a ghost, but we still joke around that one of these parents may try out some snap filters.

When I was little, me and my mom were sitting in front of our apartment waiting for my dad to pull over so we can go on a trip.
Then suddenly a loud impact sound came from the apartment's sliding doors and they started shaking like someone punched it.
I ran over, checked all around to see maybe there's an animal or something that hit it's head but there was absolutely nothing.
I still think about that to this day, really curious what spirit was venting it's frustration on the poor door

me and a bunch of high school theater kids were staying at a hotel in nyc for a school trip right before spring break. the two girls who i shared a room with went out to do something on their own, leaving me by myself in my bed. it was dead silent in that room until i started hearing a man and a woman argue on the floor right above me, followed by a barking dog a couple of seconds later. what's strange is that we were told by the hotel owner that every floor above ours was closed off completely— no rented rooms, no staff up there, nothing. it was kinda freaky! (#`ε´# )ゞ

when i was little i was just chillin on my parents bedroom that morning until i saw a red figure with 2 eyes stacking on top of each other behind the door staring at me through the small gap.. for some reason little me wasnt as scared and shooed it away casually and got up to check thinking maybe its one of my siblings , i thought they were pranking me and wearing a red shirt but i looked NO ONE was wearing anything red WHATSOEVER and that creeped me tf out i still wonder what the hell that was.. none of my family members believe me when i talk about it :-C

This is less of a ghost story, but still a paranormal thing that I've found. Whenever I have a very strong intention of looking for something/someone, if I just walk around aimlessely, I will find it (with like a 65% success rate). I know this sounds like a confirmation bias thing, but I've been seriously lucky with it, to the point of others noticing and commenting on it.
A major example was when I was doing a research internship under one my senior professors, who was notoriously important, busy, and hard to find. All of his PhD student had resigned themselves to e-mailing him, and just hoping he'd find some spare time to respond to them. However, whenever I would have an important update in the research I'd want to give him, I would always find him within 10 minutes of walking around (mind you, my campus is around 400 hectares large and he has business in all over). I once found him when I had just finished processing data at a cafe while he was on a lunch break, an hours drive away our lab building.
Another example: one time, when I was visiting Sydney, my wallet had slipped out of my pocket while I was on the bus, and I had only realised once I had long gotten off and caught a second bus (I just so happened to skip paying the fare leaving the first one). When I realised, I freaked out and immediately caught the first bus going the opposite direction while I looked up directions for the bus depot in that area (assuming they had a lost and found). As it turned out, the bus I was catching was already heading straight there, despite busses normally never having their depot on their route schedule. I walk in and find out that my wallet had just been handed in as I got there, not a singe cent out of place.
It also applies when I really want to get in to a place. A few times in my undergrad, I had a professor who would insist upon only taking physical submissions of lab reports, in a box in the chemistry building, which automatically locks at 5 PM. Despite this, whenever I would inevitably miss the deadline, I would always be able to find a way to get into the building passed closing hours. Either someone just so happened to be heading outside to smoke, or a door was accidentally left open. One time, I climbed through an open window into someone's empty office on a hot summer's night. I did NOT fuck around with getting late penalties. Multiple times, I've fumbled my ways into secure areas simply because I wanted to get in.
my dejavu showed me memories i would only have years later.
i was 13-14 at the time, it was almost night and it was another day of doing pretty much nothing, just browsing the net after coming home from school. i was listening to some music, when, out of nowhere, i had this feeling that what was happening already happened and suddenly my vision became blurry. yk when, in a movie, an amnesic character out of nowhere remembers everything of his life and DOZENS of images appear like a fast slideshow? that's exactly what happened, with the sole exception i saw scenarios i never lived.
and not just simple things - i saw different images of what seemed to be STAGES of my life. so fast yet remarkable, but i just thought it was a weird dejavu, or maybe i was psychotic. anyways, i didn't think much until those images began actually coming out true and happening days, months and even years later. weird, really weird.
