could this be simplified at all, showing perhaps just the five most recent notifs, and a link to view more?
you know, in the same format that the bulletin and blogs module follow
would certainly seem a lot cleaner overall

I second @Rose 's suggestion if this change is implemented.
Also I actually want the opposite of this feature much much more, essentially an option to view even more of the past friend activity notifications, sometimes it's hard to engage when I have spam notifications from one friend replying many times on the same things, also sometimes I find multiple things interesting to engage with, then when I click on one and go back it updates the notification and I lose all the links to things I wanted to engage with.
