I know its cool highlighting ppl on their birthday but having your exact day, month, and year (age) visible is cause for cyber security concern. this could be dangerous idk. im an anxious person and I have been overthinking this and its kinda making me hesitant about keeping my account. is anyone else worried? I think the ppl in charge of the site should do something to protect our info/ at least let us opt out of having the exact month and day visible.
maybe someone could email them abt this and make a suggestion to have an optional private button for your age and whatnot

i never really thought about it but you def have a point!! and like danni said, i think having an option to make it private would be a good idea. maybe even setting it to private by default if youre a minor? since i feel like its even more important for minors on social media to have as little personal info out there as possible

I understand entirely that ages being available is a necessity for the various safety features of the site to function. But having exact birthdays isn't really a necessity.
Hell, having a toggle even just for people who are shy and don't want an annual spotlight broadcasted to strangers is enough for me to give this one a big ol' thumbs up 👍

Yeah i agree, would be nice if there is a prompt before it happens that asks if you ok with it, unless its already there and we asking for something we aint even seen happen yet.

@Def3ct AW DAMN, I actually enjoyed the birthday feature. Hopefully we can see a return of it with the option for people to opt out, and if possible to have it listed from most frequently active to least active (if they opt in)
