i personally just want to make my german better but i don't have any motivation to study lately ... it's fine though, i have all the time in the world to pick it up when i feel like it :>>

realistically, my croatian since that's my degree and polish, because i live there... but i'd love to take up chinese again or start learning japanese. if only i had the energy!

@arcanefreak first of all your lilia pfp !! i love it so much <33 and that's cool, i'm polish actually :> chinese seems (and probably is) very hard to learn but also extremely nice to listen to. i hope you're able to gather some energy to start and make small steps into picking it again, along with starting japanese :)

@wana awww, i feel so happy when people recognize him! love the ribbon trio a lot. average polish w, btw. chinese is easier than you think, especially grammatically, but it does involve a lot of grinding... so thank you! i really hope i will get to it. someday...

@arcanefreak yeah fingers crossed! i did hear about chinese grammar being surprisingly easy, but the characters... god they look so incredibly intimidating to actually learn and write

I used to take French but I am just so horrible at it lmao. I might eventually try learning it again but I'm also wayy too lazy to learn another language

German 100%, but its impossible for me to learn it. Learning it for 10 YEARS in elementary and middle school, nothing. Makes me kinda sad since its really interesting language and I would love to speak it 😭😭😭 My brain just isnt designed for it

Other language is polish, thats easier to learn since im slovak ahaha, but I wanna be fluent!!

@PollyLuu stay strong you can do this (but never would learn my language if I wouldn't be fluent understand your struggle with it)

@PollyLuu i understand the struggle with german, in fact i understood the 4 german cases only recently despite learning it in elementary and middle school similarly to you. but i have to say my teachers were part of the problem lol. maybe you should try and consume some german content on youtube even if you don't understand it! that was my approach when learning it. with time i started to actually understand more and more since sometimes the things that people talk about are shown in context and you already know the german word in your head. don't know if that makes much sense to you, sorry if it doesn't :[

also, i'm happy to learn that people are interested in learning polish since i'm from poland haha

If I would have the time I would study Japanese more intensively it's such a beautiful but hard language (you have to read so hard between the lines with some sayings that's hard aff) but also russian cuz I like the sound of the language tbh also Icelandic was fascinated since I'm a child about that, maybe serbian too? But that mostly because my grandmother's parents were born there and it's her roots that she never could learn about

@_c3L_1105 sounds amazing, i also like how russian sounds, but well... i'm not a fan of russia as a country, so i'm kind of reluctant with it. hope you can start learning soon and have the time to do so <3

I'm an aspiring polyglot, and I already speak a little of each of these but I want to get better:

German- been studying for like 10 years but I don't have anyone to practice with so its very rusty, also (by the grace of the gods) I'm planning on getting my masters in Berlin

Spanish (LatAm)- I've picked up on it over the years, but I wanna be able to hold a conversation rather than just being able to understand it

Irish- It's really not that bad tbh, I just wanna get better at it, still probably an A1 level tho. I understand the spelling conventions and the grammar for the most part

Ones I do not know-

French- I just sing in French a lot (got my minor in classical music)

Italian- see above, also its very pretty

Mandarin- I think its cool, and I like a challenge

I got a cousin who speaks like 8 languages and I wanna catch up to him

My native language and Mandarin ^^

i hope one day i can be committed to learning a variety of languages... spanish, german, latin, japanese, and more than that. but the one i want to learn the most is french. i want to eventually be focused on learning that language, since i was learning it for 2 years in school until i dropped it due to my lack of motivation. i feel like after taking classes, it'd be a "waste" to let the (little) french language i know completely disappear from me. but generally i'm open to try learning multiple languages.

^_^

@sunny yeah i also have issues when it comes to motivation. it's one of the reasons why i'm on kind-of a hiatus with german right now. hope you can get to learning soon :]

i wanna learn chinese and russian, i really like their cultures. Specially China, is a country where I would like to live or at least visit once in my life

Russian and Mandarin.

I would really like to learn how to speak Russian. I already learned the letters and how to pronounce them. I think if I dedicated more time to learning i would probably understand some words 🥲🥲

I really want to learn Georgian but finding a good beginning to learn a language is pretty hard XD

“We`re not in Wonderland anymore, Alice.”

Japanese, asl, and Spanish!!!

@𝒦𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓎🎀‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚ asl! that's so cool, i had the opportunity to attend sign language classes but got sick and was out of uni for some time and i think it's such a shame to this day :(( i def hope to try learning it in the future <3
