think about a song that makes you feel like you're unraveling, spiraling out of control, going back into a certain headspace. what is it? why do you think music does this to us?
for me, it's "Merry Go Round of Life" from Howl's Moving Castle. Can't even listen to a second of it without feeling like im falling apart. Reminds me of my elementary art teacher, the first person who ever believed in me when i was growing up. She had shown the movie in class, and gave us the assignment of designing our own castles. she passed away shortly after i entered middle school. the rest of my childhood was a blur, but i think of her all the time.
