think about a song that makes you feel like you're unraveling, spiraling out of control, going back into a certain headspace. what is it? why do you think music does this to us?

for me, it's "Merry Go Round of Life" from Howl's Moving Castle. Can't even listen to a second of it without feeling like im falling apart. Reminds me of my elementary art teacher, the first person who ever believed in me when i was growing up. She had shown the movie in class, and gave us the assignment of designing our own castles. she passed away shortly after i entered middle school. the rest of my childhood was a blur, but i think of her all the time.
and i love her by kurt cobain, reminds me of my ex. which sucks bc its such a good song but i cant listen to it without thinking about him :/
For me I have a very hard time listening to Sierra Leone - Mt Eden, it was the song I was listening to in 2011 when I found out one of my best friends passed away. If I put it on it sucks me right back in time and my heart sinks.
I don't listen to Lover's Rock by TV Girl anymore because it was mine and my ex's song, kind of a shame because it's a great song
"hey there delilah" it was my mamas favorite song. but she is gone now, so dont really like listening to it. (ノ_<、) is a very nice song though.
"Danny's Song" by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. My stepdad loved that song and every time it comes on, I get sad.
"Two Beers In" by Free Throw.
This song brings me to tears every time i listen. Its such an emotional song to me and it holds a lot of memories. I used to listen to this song and drink when i was at my lowest.
