Any Hardcore Fans Around Here??

Back to Music

I am just curious if anyone in the community here listens to hardcore music. I've always loved the scene and thought it might be fun to see who else is into it.

What bands are you listening to lately? Old favourites, new bands, locals? Any band you miss? (I still miss Title Fight).

What I've been listening too lately has been a lot of old favourites and then finding out that they are dropping new albums that then has 16 year old me is screaming inside.

I've been really listening to new and old Terror - New album dropped April 24, Still Suffer.

Madball - New album is dropping July 24, Not Your Kingdom.

Kids Like Us, Trapped Under Ice (TUI until I die)☹, Have Heart, Cruel Hand, Go It Alone, The Holly Springs Disaster, Comeback Kid, Down to Nothing, and I could go on & on.

Hit me with your recommendations if you have em'. ☺

I like Expire a nd Backt rack and um, Soul search, those are some OF my favs, and TUI, but you already mentioned It

@mouf

Oh heck yeah, solid choices!!!! I love backtrack & soul search. Backtrack & TUI put on one hell of a set back in the day. Did you ever get the chance to see either of them live?

curta'n wall is pretty cool, xasthur too but theyre more black metal, lovehatehero, orchid, these are more modern posthardcore bands i think yea

@valkdonut

Sick!! I’ve never heard of any of the bands you listed besides orchid. I am so excited to listen to some new music today. Thank you so much for the recommendations ☺

I'm so excited about the madball album, I'm gonna wear my madball tee as i listen to it.

Red Rover, Red Rover, Bob Lazar's Coming Over.

@FullAheadFlank

RIGHT?!? Madball 2026! Let’s goooo. I washed my old shirt last night. I honestly can’t wait. They are so sick. Probably in the top 10 of all time. Can’t wait to see them live with the new album. Have you had the chance to see them live?

@kaylvang.mp3. Not yet but i really want to! I hope you have fun at your show!

hello from the sfl hardcore scene!! O(∩_∩)O

@bloodflowingriver

Ayooo from Southern SK hardcore scene ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝

@kaylvang.mp3.

ayee i think some bands that i watched are going over there soon! peace and mosh ^_^

i love hardcore, especially east coast 80s stuff. i like grindcore and powerviolence as well. my fav hardcore bands (in no particular order) are the meatmen, negative approach, gang green, and slapshot.

as for more recent stuff, i think youth attack records are pretty decent, but generally speaking modern hardcore isn't really my thing.

@soupbeing

Heck yes, 80's hardcore is how I first got into the scene too. I also really like Slapshot, so much good music comes out of Boston!

Totally fair the sounds and feels are a lot different. How did you come to find you love for 80's grind?

@kaylvang.mp3.

ever since i was a young teen i've been into extreme metal and hardcore, so it's only natural i'd get into the subgenre that mixes the best of both worlds!

there's some pretty solid local bands down here in the SFL scene, i saw one metalcore band called My Precious Solitude as an opening act for some bands from out of state and they're proper

i know there not like true hardcore but i saw black flag in boston and they were super kewl!

@S4amm7 S1aught3r!

Who care about "true" hardcore. Black Flag is an awesome band! I bet they put on a sick set. Hope you had an amazing time!

Really just classic stuff. Judge, earth crisis, side by side, chain of strength, etc. There are some great hardcore bands here in cleveland. Really anyone put out by delayed gratification records rocks.
