honestly i'm kinda fed up. lately i feel like being outspokenly argentinian is the worst decision you could think about, now it seems as if everybody hates us.
just to clarify: yes. there are racist people. not gonna deny what's evident. but, even so, they're not as much as you maybe think. our culture is NOT eurocentrist.
a big portion of my country has foreign roots (i myself am, my fuckin last name's from germany) but our culture isn't entirely based on white traditions. nor in black traditions. as in most of the latin american countries, our culture is a big amalgam, result of colonization, inmigration, and exchange with the original landing peoples.
the people you say are "racists" are NOT the people who represents us. are the president (a zionist, racist and homophobic; a.k.a the kind of people who doesn't deserve the right to give an opinion) and the conservative worms who made him escale. they were a lot the people who voted for this, most of the half of a 48m inhabitants country. but most of them did because of the promise he repeated a million of times to reintegrate the economy, plus this "voting the least bad one" thinking. currently, almost the 60% of the population are against his party and seeming to lean towards left-wing representatives. in less than four years.
we are not perfect. we are divided. there are still people who doesn't think of palestine as a country going through a genocide, who will slur against african countries just bc of football, while they don't even mind about their president selling our land to USA and israel. in every house of the world there is a good person, a bad person and a neutral person. stop pretending that colectively hating one south american country makes you better cause most of us are literally struggling for these things and trying to fight against it, just that the media made us look like animals and our president as a clown.

i agree ^^ as a colombian, i've been seeing a lot of hate towards argentina during and after the world cup. and i was honestly rooting against argentina most of the time (not because i hate argentina- some of the nicest people ik are from there! just for soccer reasons lol). but it kinda hurt to see latinoamerica root for spain, the COLONIZERS, against argentina. even i rooted for argentina ffs (,; ⩌ ;,). despite all the bad stuff happening in argentina, it's still a latin american country.
it's also important to note that the same people hating on argentina turn around and cheer for america/idealize america, which has the same problems if not worse!!!
