Ciro y Los Persas concert (Dec 20, 2025). Experience! W/ video

For context: Ciro y Los Persas is an Argentine rock band, and that day also marked the celebration of their 16-year career and 400th show! I wanted to share this experience and how it changed a few things in me.

I have two aunts who are always going to concerts. For years, they invited me to see bands or artists we liked, but my answer was always "No, thanks" because the mere thought of being surrounded by people (that part really scared me), singing, jumping, or doing anything that drew attention to myself gave me anxiety.

I was constantly preoccupied with what others might think.

Because of that shyness and fear, I missed out on concerts by Los Piojos, System of a Down (who were coming to Argentina after a very long time), Tame Impala, Limp Bizkit, Foo Fighters, and more. All of this made me sad. I felt like I was missing out on experiences and wasting my teenage years, and I couldn't help but compare my life to those of more interesting people.

By 2025, I decided it was time to put a foot down. Music is a huge part of my daily life—it’s important to me—and I couldn't stand missing out on experiencing it live anymore. Since my birthday was coming up and my aunts wanted to see me getting out more, they gave me a ticket to see Ciro y Los Persas. They knew I liked Los Piojos and since Ciro is the lead singer of both bands, he always plays some Los Piojos hits at his shows.

I was really happy that day. It was very different from what I had expected; I had been terrified that I’d feel nervous, panic because of the crowd, and not enjoy myself at all.

The trip there was comfortable; we walked around the city, and once we got into the open field, we moved close to the stage before the show started. The music began to play, and people were singing at the top of their lungs—without caring how they sounded—jumping around, and simply enjoying the moment.

Seeing it up close that energy really helped me let go. I talked to strangers, sang, jumped around, and cried along to the songs without caring who was watching. The best part was catching a guitar pick that Ciro tossed into the crowd!.

This is the guitar pick!

I can say with certainty that the night had a real impact on my day-to-day life, even though a concert might not seem like a big deal to many people. That show was a major breakthrough for me.

It changed my mindset so much that I’ve already bought tickets to see Jamiroquai this year, and I’m happily looking forward to seeing Ciro again in October. These are things I wouldn't have done before!

With this, I also wanted to say that if you're stuck with these anxiety issues or feel like time is slipping away, that's okay. Everyone has their own pace, and for certain things, it's best to take things slowly and gradually. Don't put pressure on yourself, but when you feel that spark of courage, don't waste it. Open yourself up to those experiences you've been longing for! Even if they might seem small to others, they can be a huge personal step!
