I'M CRYING!! The playlist was basically screaming "I LIKE YOU" in every possible language and you were just there like "wow... these are some really nice songs." But honestly, don't be too hard on yourself. It's so much easier to connect the dots years later than it is in the moment. Especially when you're not expecting someone to have a crush on you, your brain just doesn't even consider it as a possibility. The funniest part is definitely "i wanna be your girlfriend" being on the playlist and you still not realizing Abby was dropping hints the size of billboards.
At least you both get to laugh about it now. This genuinely sounds like one of those stories you'll randomly remember years from now and still go, "HOW DID I NOT NOTICE??" |
