You don't owe presentation to anyone else.

People judge. It is our natural state. Judging that which is different was important to us as a species 100,000 years ago when a 'new' person might mean conflict and the destruction of the clan. Someone acting 'different' might mean disease and the destruction of the clan.

You've got one life to live, and you're going to know different sorts of love from all sorts of friendships, relationships, born family, found family, etc.

But to navigate it all, you DESERVE to love yourself through it all, so be you. Defiantly if you must.
