I've had so many new 16 year old co-workers and it continues to baffle me how many simple things they do not understand.
My anger isn't directed towards these teens, my frustration is with their parents. They are 16, how the fuck have their parents not taught them how to properly clean? To properly hold a knife???
This frustration very much comes from a personal place because I WAS that kid and it enrages me to see other kids forced to feel stupid because their parents are incompetent and probably only had them to check the box off of "adult things to do" instead of actually wanting children.
I come from an extremely dysfunctional household so it pisses me off how common this is.
And if you don't think a 16 year old should have to know these things (WHICH THEY SHOULD) then don't fucking let them have a job.
Jesus fucking christ, take care of your own kids, don't leave it to some strangers to do what you haven't. You (hopefully) made the conscious choice to bring A LIVING BEING to this world, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

Hm, I do agree with you on this especially in the last part.
I don't know unfortunately, maybe many parents nowadays just leave their children on an iPad instead of teaching them a lot of important things they needed to learn.
Hopefully there are still many Responsible Parents out there raising children properly with good moral values, good discipline and raising them to be able to stand on their own feet.
