Emotional Poetry (based on immigration topics)

Read this piece of mine out to my college class and lots of them really loved it. I think it is one of my best pieces because the topic is very intertwined with me and i find myslef going back to re-read it because I really feel like i put my soul in it lol. Well anyways hope you guys enjoy (still very much an amateur and do it for fun and expression) 

ferment forever

I can feel it, every time

My disadvantaged self in every step

as if it is an unmovable fact,

as if it was gravity.

This cuts me deeply,

somewhere in my soul

But, all thats left to do

is lick my wounds like a dog.

Because, for these injuries

there is no remedy.

No cure, I just have to sit back

and let the injuries ferment,

and infect.

Now all thats left

is the feeling of everything

that i will never be.
