i didn't realise how much of my online Experience recently had been governed by images and video until now rly. words are more intentional, and you can only read so many at a time so they take longer to consume. im still amusing myself to death im just doing it #slow and sensual style

it's so odd how most socmeds push out video formatting as "more digestible" to the major audience but then stick them in algorithms that don't allow people to sit and digest. it's just one thing after the next after the next. Don't even think about rewatching the one clip you actually liked! you've already lost it cause you scrolled too far and you didn't insta-follow the creator.
like I can get how not everyone feels as if reading comes as naturally as breathing, but, man, does it feel like taking a deep breath lately.

I actually miss when the internet was mostly words. It felt slower in a good way, you had to imagine things instead of having everything shown to you instantly. Reading also makes you engage a little more than just scrolling past endless videos<33
