gender

Lately I’ve been questioning my gender and find myself most comfortable with being genderfluid but I can’t help but feel like I’m constantly being judged in a way if I don’t come off as someone who fluctuates their expression between feminine and masculine. I’m pretty feminine presenting, I’ve told my friends that I feel like I’m genderfluid and was met with the response of “well you don’t come off as that.” whateverdatmeans? I don’t really know my confusion or confliction but I’ll figure it out

Being genderfluid is always tough. . . . if you dont have a CLEAR MASCULINE and a CLEAR FEMININE mode people tend to just assume we're one gender *rolls eyes*. I'm sorry to hear your friends are being annoying, but I hope you can still take pride in your identity  ^-^ no matter what anyone says, if your gender is fluid you're genderfluid !!!

(also, of course, there's always more gender to explore. there's tons of labels under the genderfluid umbrella! i'm bigender, because i feel either distinctly feminine or distinctly masculine, but there's tons to explore. but we're all genderfluid, no matter how much or how little gender you present, and we're happy to have you!!!)

thank you :’-D

You don't owe presentation to anyone else.

People judge. It is our natural state. Judging that which is different was important to us as a species 100,000 years ago when a 'new' person might mean conflict and the destruction of the clan. Someone acting 'different' might mean disease and the destruction of the clan.

Well, it's a fucking 100,000 years later and our monkey brains can just get the fuck over it:

You've got one life to live, and you're going to know different sorts of love from all sorts of friendships, relationships, born family, found family, etc.

But to navigate it all, you DESERVE to love yourself through it all, so be you. Defiantly if you must.
