Books, Bread & Other Questionable Life Choices

October 16th, 2026:

⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ᰔ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

Hello hello, internet friends!

I figured it was about time I sat down and wrote a little life update. Nothing overly exciting is happening over here, but sometimes I think those are my favourite kind of updates to read and share. Just people existing, doing their lil hobbies, and telling the internet about it.

So here I am. Existing. Doing my little hobbies.

And apparently becoming a woman whose entire personality revolves around books, matcha and loaves of bread. Don't forget about the cats or critters.

Could be worse *ੈ✩‧₊˚.

LIFE LATELY:

Life has been a bit of a mixed bag lately. Some days I am feeling more like myself, and other days my brain decides we are operating with two functioning brain cells and a dream.

I have been trying to enjoy the little things whenever I can. Cozy evenings, a good book, making something yummy, and just generally allowing myself to be the little homebody I am.

I've been also spending a lot of time lurking around here, admiring everyone's cute profiles and blogs. Seriously, some of you are SO creative. My little brain sees a cute divider or a sparkly GIF and immediately decide I need twelve of them.

I have no self control when it comes to cute internet decorations.

CURRENT LITERARY NONSENSE:

My reading obsession is alive and well, thank you very much.

I've been reading Kill for Me, Kill for You by Steve Cavanagh, and HOLY FUCK. I love a book that makes me suspicious of absolutely everyone. At this point, I am just along for the ride, questioning every character's motives and having a wonderful time doing so.

I've also been collecting books on my Kindle like I am preparing for some kind of zombie apocalypse. ZOM100, anyone?

Will I read them all? Eventually, perhaps.

Will I continue adding more before I even finished the first batch I already have?

Absolutely. Mind ya business ♥

I've also been particularly into twisty thrillers lately. Give me unreliable narrators, suspicious husbands, morally questionable characters', and plot twists that make me stare into my visual aura for 5 minutes straight.

That. That's the good stuff.

MEANWHILE, AT THE TINY BAKERY:

The bread saga continues.

For anyone that missed my previous adventures, I've recently become a proud owner of a bread machine, and naturally, I've decided this makes me a professional baker.

My first few attempts were...uhh...educational?

We had some questionable loaves. Some very ambitious risers, and a little bit of chaos.

BUTTT THEN.

I made the softest, fluffiest little milk bread, and she was BEAUTIFUL. A proper loaf! With an actual reasonable height! No body tried to escape the lid.

A true redemption story.

Now that I have experienced success, my brain has started plotting future bread adventures to share with you all.

Maybe something sweet? Maybe something fruity? Maybe I will finally make that cherry matcha bread I've been dreaming about.

Or maybe, just maybe, I'll make another loaf of milk bread because I fear I've peaked.

Only time will tellll.

ANYWAYS, THAT'S ALL FROM ME:

Nothing groundbreaking happening over here. Just a girl trying to enjoy her hobbies, read too many books, drink too much matcha and keep her bread from developing free will.

I am trying to remind myself that life doesn't always need to be exciting to be worth writing about.

It's just nice to share the little things and make them pretty.

I hope you've all been doing well, finding time for your hobbies, and enjoying something cozy lately.

Sending you all a little virtual cup of tea and a slice of bread ♥

Hope to see you again,

Really loved hearing your bread making adventures. Hope the success follows you onto your future creations, but even if not all of them are quite perfect, they certainly will make interesting stories for future blogs, and we will cheer for your success on the next attempt.
