Forget the Haters!

In the past, I received some deeply disturbing feedback to my writing. A few messages were rambling and filled with baseless accusations, while others carried overt racism. One particularly offensive note even directed me to a website overflowing with mindless hatred. Encounters like these make it clear that some people have far too much time on their hands and far too much negativity to contain.

I still fail to understand how anyone consumed by unbridled hatred could send such messages with the expectation that their words would appear here or in any other space I manage. My blogs and forum posts exist to inform, entertain, and encourage thoughtful discussion. They are not platforms for intolerance. They are not launchpads for conspiracy theories. They are not feeding grounds for fear, suspicion, or hostility.

As a writer, I fully expect my readers to hold a wide range of opinions. I expect perspectives from the Left, the Right, and the nearly invisible Center. I expect emotional reactions and well‑reasoned commentary. I welcome many things, and I welcome constructive voices just as strongly as I reject those who believe their hatred deserves a place here.

I cannot control who reads my work. What I can control is which comments remain and which ones meet a swift end. Hatred will never come from me, and I will never allow hatemongers to spread their vitriol through my platforms. I make this promise now, and I will honor it with everything I publish.
