Tomorrow we'll get the keys to our new house, which means I get a new room. My current room is kinda bland, but my mom gave me more freedom this time. My goal is to make my room more gothic/witchy. I'm allowed to ask for new furniture, paint the walls and hang stuff on the walls. So my question to you is: do you have any tips/suggestions to achieve this? Any ideas are welcome!

That sounds so exciting! A gothic/witchy room is such a cool idea. I think the biggest thing is creating a cozy atmosphere rather than just adding dark decorations. You could try painting the walls in deep colors like dark green, burgundy, charcoal grey, or even a warm beige to make it feel like an old library. Some wooden furniture, vintage-looking mirrors, candles (real or fake ones), plants, dried flowers, and lots of books can really add to the vibe.
For the walls, you could hang artwork, moon phases, old-looking frames, posters, tapestries, or even make a small gallery wall. Fairy lights or warm lamps instead of bright white lights would make the room feel much more magical. Also, adding textures like velvet curtains, dark blankets, and patterned rugs can make it feel extra cozy.
Most importantly, make it personal! Add things that represent you, because the best rooms are the ones that feel like your own little world. I hope you have fun decorating your new space!
