As of recent, I've had a lot of time to think about life and death. But now I realized something about myself; I'm not afraid of dying, at least, not anymore. I just can't find myself to fear this thing society is actively trying to prevent. There is so much media out there showing and encouraging others to not age because, as we know, signs of age are the previous footsteps of the reaper as the more there are, the closer she comes. But there's just no point to this! Listen, I can understand the fear of heights, the fear of bugs, even the fear of the outside world! But death? Really? I don't mean to offend anyone but as I see it, you're just fearing the future and the future is the worst thing to be afraid of. It may be unpredictable, but I'd rather know nothing than know everything.

I don't think most people think about it much, most people I'm pretty sure only think about it when someone dies or they have a near death experience that makes them realize how quick the lights could just go out one day.
I will say, as someone who has struggled with my mental health since middle school (genetic unfortunately, it runs in my family) thinking a lot about death was mostly just my extreme anxiety at the time.

i wouldnt say im super existential, but sometimes at night i think about how this is all going to end someday. it does scare me a little to be honest… but i also find comfort in it, because its one thing everyone has in common

I may be a boomer using gifs but i’m new here. I can have fun >:(.
I don’t think we should fear it, but it’s still best to avoid it. Maybe… you don’t even have to run from a murderer… you can just step slightly out of his way… and then if he kills you, well then it was fate.
And it is average to fear death even if that doesn’t make it natural, good, or… normal.
