Los Narcosatánicos 

Drug Cartels? Vodou Human Sacrifices? Murders? These are all things involved with this cult! 

Adolfo Constanzo had a few nicknames like The Godfather of Matamoros. The Witch Doctor or also known as the Narcosatanist and he was a well known drug-trafficker and serial killer in Matamoros, Mexico and ran a cult known as the Los Narcosatánicos (The Narcosatanists) back in the 80s

But on May 6th 1989 after Adolfo Constanzo fled to Mexico City, he was found dead with a bullet wound to his face in his apartment and his girlfriend Sara Aldrete, nicknamed the Godmother and a high priestess of the cult, and a follower of his Álvaro de León, the one who shot him, were arrested by police. 

Why did Álvaro de León shoot him? 

Because Adolfo Constanzo mistakenly thought the police, who were at the apartment for another reason, were there for him and the thought of prison didn't sound so fun to him and so he gave De León the gun and told him to kill him. 

Why did Adolfo Constanzo fled to Mexico City? 

Well on March 13th 1989, Mark Kilroy, a US citizen visiting Mexico, was kidnapped by Constanzo's followers and taken back to Rancho Santa Elena, Constanzo's ranch in the middle of nowhere and then was murdered by Constanzo, why? Because apparently he needed a good/superior brain for one of his ritual spells, which I mean Mark Kilroy was a pre-med student. Since Constanzo thought that these sacrifices were the reason behind his success in the cartels. 

How did Constanzo get in all this magic and drug business? 

Well in his teen years he somehow became an apprentice to some local sorcerer and practiced the religion Palo Mayombe, which involves animal sacrifice which I guess what got him into thinking all that junk was real. And his mother remarried to a drug dealer who was also into the religion. Ah now thats some family bonding. 

 On April 11th 1989 the police after interrogating Constanzo's brothers raided and searched the ranch, finding huge shipments of cocaine and weed and was also horrified to find the mutilated bodies of 15 victims. 

So Adolfo Constanzo quickly fled to Mexico City. Where he died. And afterwards 14 members of his cult were charged and sent to prison for numerous amounts of crimes.
