Spacehey ranttt

Yooo I came from Spacehey to here bc I saw someone on there talk about Friendrewind and I wanted to check it out bc imo Spacehey fell off. 

Let’s start with just signing in to Spacehey TwT I’m not js talking about the age thing in certain countries and the fact you need a VPN to get in (which is weird ig but whatever), I’m talking about the stupid waitlist thing. The waitlist idea is so useless to me, like I’ve tried to apply for it many times and monthssssss pass only for me to get nothing in my emails. I can understand there are probably tons of ppl on that waitlist but still.. why?? What purpose does it serve? Maybe it’s to not make so many people make an account at once? I’m not sure. I had to go to an old account to make myself an invite, and even so when I did ppl js talk about how they’re currently leaving or about to leave Spacehey. 

Then there is moderation (like the gore and pedos stuff). I personally didn’t encounter any of these things whenever I went to the website (then again unlike other ppl I never dug too deep) even when I was a minor (bc I turned 18 like this month) for a few years I never got any weird older people talk to me. The people who tried to add me were always significantly younger people. The only weirdos I’ve spoken to came from discord but that’s not much of a surprise is it? But it is true there is a LOT of younger people there (mostly 14yo I see) which idk if it’s a good thing or not. And I’ve never seen gore but I heard many people complain about it for sure and still do to this day.

Some people I heard blame TikTok or Pinterest for Spacehey falling off bc it became “too mainstream” which ok but at the same time I feel like that happens with absolutely everything. There is always a bad side to an app or website sadly, but it’s the job of the moderators to make it a safer place for regular ppl who just want to enjoy the site/app. I’m not gonna say safe for children bc sometimes children shouldn’t even be in some of these things (speaking from experience as I got unrestricted access to the internet lol). Spacehey isn’t like a paradise that needs to be protected from invaders or smth, it has its pros and cons. I think it’s cool more people found it and chose to stay yk, but it’s mostly the pedos, pro shippers and gore ppl they needed to get rid of, which idk if they did, but probably not bc I also see many blogs of people calling out other people for their bad behavior all the time. Thanks to those ppl fr.

Also doesn’t Spacehey have merch and a donation thing? With what they earn they can get moderation right? Honestly maybe the moderation thing did get better without me noticing ? I’m not sure bc I as of recently saw people complain about all those things I mentioned. If it’s recent then yeah no probably no proper moderation. 

Anyways it’s js to say I hope it’s better here TwT idk I just arrived lol whoever wants to still use Spacehey they can but now it’s just meh compared to a few years ago imo. You can’t make any website perfect ofc but it’s kinda telling if many people complain about these things and it doesn’t get addressed.. ANYWAYS I’m yapping too much to say so little so that’s it for today lmao
